RM 70GO! 2.0 vs. RM 90GO!

A Compact Crusher Comparison

The RM 70GO! 2.0 is RUBBLE MASTER’s most compact crusher for professional recycling and rock crushing. The RM 90GO! is one size up and the second longest-running model series in production. Its predecessor, the RM80, was the original tracked compact crusher that brought RUBBLE MASTER international success.

The most obvious difference is its size and resulting capacities. Despite similar looks, there are a couple subtle differences you might have missed.

Hydraulic folding swivel conveyor

The RM 90GO! Compact Crusher can be set up within 15 minutes with your feet on the ground. The return conveyor unfolds and swivels in place without the need for hand tools. The RM 70GO! 2.0 requires more manual work, including lifting the return conveyor off the machine using an excavator and chains and putting it in place manually. This process is more laborious but comes with a significant advantage. The RM 70GO! 2.0 Compact Crusher is less than 8’ wide and can easily pass the most challenging permit situations.

Beveled trackpads vs. straight trackpads

The RM 90GO! Compact Crusher has beveled trackpads, which makes turning the machine under challenging terrains easier. The RM 70GO! Compact Crusher features less expensive square trackpads.

Top apron adjustment

RUBBLE MASTER uses a single apron impact crusher design, which allows for fast and easy adjustment of crusher settings. While the bottom adjustment—the closed-side setting—affects the overall output size, the top adjustment affects the material gradation.

The RM 70GO! Compact Crusher doesn’t feature a top adjustment, while the RM 90GO! does.

Standard chevron conveyor

The RM 90GO! Compact Crusher features a standard chevron conveyor, while the RM 70GO! 2.0 has a flat conveyor belt. The chevron conveyor is suitable for heavy-duty concrete recycling applications because it features a rip-stop functionality and an added thickness due to the cleats. The RM 70GO! 2.0 can be retrofitted with a Chevron conveyor. However, the RM 70GO! 2.0 flat conveyor belt works well in medium-duty concrete recycling applications and is quick and easy to replace.

Hydraulic lowering main conveyor

The RM 90GO! 's main discharge conveyor can be lowered hydraulically for maintenance or to remove blockages. The RM 70GO! 2.0 Compact Crusher requires an excavator with chains or a crane to lift the main conveyor to the ground.

To Wrap it Up

The RM 70GO! 2.0 Compact Crusher is an economical way to get started. It features all the bells and whistles of a full-size crusher but has fewer fine-tuning options. Its compact dimensions make it easy to place it in confined areas and produce spec material, while it also gives you the freedom to pack up and crush on-site.

The RM 90GO! Compact Crusher provides more room for growth in terms of capacity and speed. It is a bit beefier and makes on-site crushing easier due to its fast setup time and more options for producing aggregates your customer wants.
